Appception supports remote file access using
WebDAV
|
WebDAV
allow provides easy access to remote files from a local machine.
Programs such as desktop editors can then be used to remotely edit files as if they were on a local disk.

WebDAV
clients are already installed in most operating systems; to setup, see the configuration information below.

WebDAV Configuration:
|
Windows 7
|
To configure WebDAV on a Windows 7 machine:
- Select Start->Computer
- Choose Tools->Map Network Drive
- Enter the URL displayed on the 'Project->Settings' page for the WebDAV folder
- Check the 'Reconnect at logon' box (for automatic connections of WebDAV drive)
- You may also need to check the 'Connect using different credentials' box
- Click 'Finish'
- When prompted, enter your account name and password
You should now be able to access files at the WebDAV URL using the WebDAV drive letter (e.g. Y:/assets/www/index.html).

Mac OS X
|
To configure WebDAV on a Mac OS X machine:
- In Finder, select 'Go->Connect to Server'
- Enter the URL displayed on the 'Project->Settings' page in the 'Server Address' box
- Click 'Connect'
- When prompted, enter your account name and password
You should now be able to access files at the WebDAV URL using the WebDAV drive letter (e.g. Y:/assets/www/index.html).
